Susan Sarandon says Rocky Horror remake plans are daft

Actress Susan Sarandon, who starred as Janet in the original Rocky Horror Picture Show, sees no point in anyone making a remake of the 1975 cult classic.

MTV announced this year that a remake is planned, but Susan doesn't actually see the point of remaking something that's already brilliant.

Says Susan: "I don't quite understand what they would do to make it more charming or interesting. Certainly people could sing better than I could -- that could be something that could change. But part of the charm of it, I thought, was that it was done sort of low-budget. So unless it's done huge and very different I don't know the point of remaking it."
