Ah, l'amour, isn't it lovely? It is if you're France's newly single president Nicolas Sarkozy.
He just got dumped by the ex-missus (shown below), but can't be bothered with it, because he's in Luxor, Egypt with model/singer Carla Bruni (shown above).
Who's running the country? Not Nico -- he's got other plans.
The couple are staying at the Old Winter Palace hotel, while Nicolas gears up for a state visit to Cairo next week to meet President Hosni Mubarak, in between gawking at tourist sights and lounging by the pool with Carla.
Carla, 39, an Italian-born French citizen has kind of a sweet tooth for famous dudes; she's been linked to singer Mick Jagger, big mouth real estate mogul Donald Trump and singer Eric Clapton.
Nicolas is 52, so he should know better, but he doesn't and she looks good on his arm, so everyone's happy!
Just look at this candid of them hustling in to the hotel door in matching shades and all color-coordinated. Tra-la-la, and vive la France. It's still there, right?
