A chi-chi Sri Lankan resort is charging $14,500 (GBP 7,184) for what it calls the world's most expensive dessert.
The dessert is a gold-leaf Italian cassata flavored with Irish cream, bobbing about under a mango and pomegranate compote drenched in champagne.
Teetering on the top of the mess, a chocolate carving of a fisherman clinging to a stilt, and an 80-carat aquamarine stone.
"The Fortress Stilt Fisherman Indulgence" was created to give suckers-- er, visitors at The Fortress resort in Galle a one-of-a-kind experience, says the hotel's publicity agent.
What're they talking about, one-of-a-kind experience? You can go get robbed any day of the week. It'll cost you less, too.
